OK, I know this question has been covered a billion times and I have done a search only not to find the answer I think I need. Heres the deal. 1986 Camaro V6 700r4. Removed V6 and put in a carbed 350 and got the Bowtie Overdrive wiring kit to eliminate computer stuff for tranny. Adjusted T.V. cable as per instructions thru B.O. I have no tach so shift points are unknown. When I drive the car(normally) down the road all seems well. My problem occurs when I power brake the car. After releasing the brake and taking off,the tranny will not shift. Now,I like to shift the car so I have it in low and manually shift up. Obviously I don't have something right but what? Now you might ask what happens when I power brake with the tranny in drive? Well it shifts but to quickly. Won't let the motor build any steam. This motor is no powerhouse and carries a basic 350 c.i.d. power but is no slouch.

How did you mount a V6 tranny to a V8 block?

 

My bad, had a V8 donor car. Got the tranny,harness and such from it.
