For over 4 yrs now I've had a problem with the relay for the shifter opening up when the car heats up while stuck in traffic.Had my reg shop look at it 2 yrs ago and him spending half a day on it he said the relay was the problem.Well coming home today damn if I didn't have the same problem.After pushing it off to the side in rush hr traffic and after sitting 45 minutes it started right back up and ran all the way home like nothing happened.What relay is everyone using?

 

I didn't install a relay....it works exactly the same as it did with the factory shifter in it. No problems at all....2+ years now.

 

had problems with burning up relays i went through 4 of tehm before i said the hell with it and rewired to get rid of the relay...no more problems

 

this maybe off the wall but when my fuel pump (in the tank) was going out, it did the same thing, if I let it set and cool it would start right up, but when it got hot it would quit

 

It better not be the fuel pump for the sixth time.Got tired of replacing with stock replacements so I replaced it witha Walbro 255 just a few yrs ago and I put less than 6,000 miles a yr on it
