5 speed transmission for Chevy Colorado fit??
My transmission is on its way out... i was searching on craigslist for a newer one and came across this.
"5 speed transmission for Chevy Colorado - May fit other models - 24000 miles on tranny - $250"
If this transmission would fit in our cars without modifications it would be perfect i think since it is so local and the price is cheap, anyone have any info on this?
Thanks alot,
Dennis

I am not familar with trans-dapt, i am pretty sure it will bolt up to my engine but i was wondering if the dimensions were the same and the transmission mount placement was the same.

I can almost guarantee it won't be a direct bolt-in. Most truck five speeds are mounted straight up whereas the f-body five speeds are the only ones that are mounted at an angle towards the driver's side. In other words, it probably wouldn't be worth the hassle to get it to work. Not to mention if your car is a V8, your input spline count and length will be different from a V6 trans.

Ive read on here that you can only rebuild a NWC T5 to factory specs, Apparently the factory specs arent holding up with my engine output... I will have to find another one that is a WC T5 then build that up.
