Anybody have Moser 9" with fill tube?

Transmission: T-56
Axle/Gears: Moser 9" 4.11 Gears
Anybody have Moser 9" with fill tube?
Does anybody have a Moser 9" with the add on fill tube above the pumpkin? I just mached up putting my sumped stock tank in the car and noticed that the Moser fill tube is about an inch away from the tank. Any suspension travel past one inch and "Houston we have a problem". I was thinking of notching the tank to clearance the tube but how deep? and is this the only way to fix this problem?

Talked to Steve Spohn and he said to remove the springs for full compresion then notch the tank. Anybody do this?
