Engine: 350 lt1 sued up
Transmission: 460le
Vehicle speed sensor

I have a trans am 87 350 tpi 7004 tranny I want to drop the whole thing in my 87 Z28 that was originally tpi but the speedomiter is mechanical how would iI hook this up to use My mechanical speedometer what would I have to change THE 700 r TO MAKE IT MECHANICAL

it should hook up the same, i mean if the 700r is mechanical and both of the cars speedos are mechanical then it should swap with no issues...but i may be wrong...just check when ur swapping the tranny, pull the gear and see if it is the same good luck!

The Trans Am is electric, the Camaro is mechanical. Firebirds went electric in 85, Camaros in 90

Just take the cable parts out of the Z28's old transmission and put them into the Firebird trans.

It's a direct interchange. No-brainer.
