Two part question

Alright ive looked all over and i cant seem to find just the right answer so ill post it here bear with me guys.

I recently swaped out a 305tbi for a 350carb. I accually did al this about march. Car ran fine, but now im shifting at very high RMP and it wouldnt go into OD at all. I konw about the lock up kits they have but it ran fine before.
My question is there something that could clog inside the transmission that would cause this to happen. I have pullsed the pan, the fluid was dark, but did not smell burnt, and there was no metal in the fluid, i mean aside from the dark grey $hi_.
Is there a temorary way to wire it up so that it shifts right, how would i run the lock out switch that every one is talking about, do i runit to ground or 12v.

Your tv cable may need some adjustment. This will cause all sorts of problems that I can't even begin to list. How many miles are on the trans? Worst case scenario is your trans may need a rebuild. It is possible that the valve body has some junk in it but I doubt is since the pan was clean.

it would be the thing that you are looking at when you drop the pan. Not to be rude but if you don't know what the valve body is, you should not try to take it down and inspect it. There are several check ***** and many valves inside the valve body that can wreck a trans if you don't know what you are doing. If you think you can handle it, get a manual and read it. Then follow the instructions carefully and get a clean large working area.
