speedo gear

my speedo is off from my 4.10, i know how to change it but where is the best place to get the new gear that i need

Not sure if its the best, but i bought all 3 of mine from ck performance (718 784 4256) Just call up tell them what tranmission and gear ratio you have and they figure it out and send you the new speedo gear. I think it came out to about $45 for the gear, housing, and shipping. Not sure if thats cheap or expensive but they have good service and I have no complaints

The lowest ratio GM or anybody else makes is a 15 tooth drive, and a 45 tooth driven. The housing must say 40-45 on it to use a 45 tooth driven. If your tire size is 27.5" in diameter, and you are running a 4.10 gear, and use the 15-45 gear setup, then this is the lowest the factory setup will allow. If your tire diameter is less, then you will need to go to a speedometer specialist to make an adapter to have the speedometer read correctly. They can charge $100.00-$200.00 for this.
