I was wondering if anyone knows of a conversion kit to install a m20, m21, m22 in a 3rd gen car. My car already has the 4 speed bellhousing, and mechanical linkage from an 82 Z28. I know the trans will bolt up to the bell, but how do I mount up the torque arm, please help, saginaw ready to blow. Thanks, Tom

hum i am not sure but i would say that you would need to either tig weld some bolt holes or sleeves to the tailshaft housing so that the mount will bolt to it, or do something like take some pieces of steel and weld up a real basic custom clamp or bolt-on mounting pad plate for the mount to bolt to like the factory ones do
wouldnt be very difficult at all
or you could jut bolt the arm to the crossmember or put a piece of something across the car under there and mount the arm to that
theres lots of different things you could do prette easily
brainstorm
as long as the pinion angle is right and a little more downwards than upwards(because the axle housing rotates making the pinion move up vertically upon forward acceleration)
im sure a few peeps on this forum somewhere have a muncie 4 speed under their TG f body and could show how they did it :d
