Miles is still around. I just got the posi cones and spring pack from him about a month ago. If you get them you can just rebuild it yourself. Try this:
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/afte...solutions.html
If you go to my last post and click the link it will give you his phone number. That is how I talked to him in person, oh, he answered my emails also.
Here is when I did mine.

Works great, no more one wheel peel for me, just two black marks on the road. Love it.

Hot, I've been spreading this link around, your friend may find it helpful when working on your 9-bolt. It has tech and service info on just about every rear used by GM. It is a 257 page pdf file with a lot of great info. The 9-bolt is refferred to as the Borg Warner "Model 78." The last thirty pages are just exploded diagrams with legends. Hope this is helpful.

I've heard he is a VERY busy man who can be tough to get in touch with, but once you are in contact with him he really comes through. Good luck.

Ya think, maybe he's just can't be bothered with messing with it any more?
Can't say I blame him, to tell the truth.
diffsoultions.com = 9bolt.com; same guy, different web address.

Yeah I would not be surprised if he just wasn't into it anymore, but he ought to turn off his web page if that the case........in the meantime, i found shop in NJ that rebuilds 9 bolt diff's.......so i sent him one good 2 series, and 1 slipping 3 series........if he makes it work I will post his shop phone number for others to try as well.............

Reread post #5 do what it says. You will get to his other site "unlimited awnings" with his cell number right on the page. When he email me back that was the address he used. I talk to him afew time with that number.

If that shop works out, definately post it if you don't mind. I'm in NJ and may need a rebuild soon, I don't think I'll have the time to do it myself, and I don't want to give it to someone who is not competant. Thanks man.

Thanks, man. By the way, have you tried Ratech? They have basically everything else for the rear besides the diff. I just made an order today for bearings, etc. If you haven't already, check them out.
Ratech
It doesn't look like it, but that's a link on the preceding line.

Well the diff came back from the shop in NJ. Although I didn't have a rebuild kit, the guy was able to remove all the good parts from a clean 2 series diff and install them in mine. He had his own custom shims that he used. It now works great. If anybody is interested in his services. Here is the contact info. A&D auto, 395 WHiteville road, ROute 527, Jackson NJ, 08527 Phone 732-367-0116. His name is andy.
I also bought a rebuild kit from miles@koolmeister.com. Now that I've solved my problems, I plan on stockpiling good 3 series diff's and parts so I don't have to go through this again............Pat
