I really need some quick advice.

Going to a show this weekend and i cant drive my car over 60mph because it vibrates bad not shakes like unbalanced wheels. The steering wheel stays perfectly still but the car vibrates and the faster i go the worst it gets?

I put a t56 but used the yoke from the tranny to the driveshaft from a 60's chevelle because it fit fine. Driveshaft is balanced. Driveshaft is straight with the rearend, and the rearend is at 2.5 degrees. The poly mount from spohn looks good but doest have that red peice on the bottom like it shows on the website. new u-joints.tires balanced and new rims.
Could it be my tailshaft bearing?

I have a 4.10 10 bolt rear that is in perfect cond. so its not that either. Also have the spohn driveshaft, crossmember, and torquearm is any of that matters.

If anyone could tell me would COULD/MAY be wrong with it i would greatly appreciate...

Thanks,

check all the u joints ot make sure they seated into the yoke at the rear axle correctly

sometimes they can be a pita to get the caps down in there right and if one doesnt then uhhmm bad things can happen

does it do it in gear and in neutral both ?

does the engine shake at all when the car is just sitting and running ?

what was the VERy last thing you removed or installed or did anything to just before it started doing this ?

thats all for now

There is no tailshaft bearing as i understand, its a bushing, and should have play, however, if theres any kind of fluid breaking through the seal, your bushing is gone or its just a bad seal.. I went to my chevy dealer today, because i thought my tailshaft bearing was shot, because theres a bit of play..

So if the real seal is leaking fluid, it may be the bushing..

Go back through through the drive train and make sure you tightened everything..

where are you going for a Car show?

the last thing i did was install a t56 with the new torque arm driveshaft etc.etc.

IT does it both in gear and in neutral, all u-joints seated right, i just checked.

Also my tranny makes a LOUD clunky noise when its just idleing. Step on the clutch it goes away, give it a little gas it goes away. It almost sounds like the exhaust is hitting something but its something with the tranny, and its loud i mean you can hear it from around 30ft away.

Any more advice on either of the problems, the clunking is the one im more concerned about at this time.

Thanks,
