T-5 swap question
Hey all!
Just joined up....looks like a cool site from what I've seen.
Here's my question: I have an '85 Z28. A previous owner swapped out the TH700-R4 for a TH350(don't know why, either). I'd like to ditch the slushbox scene altogether and install a T-5 from an '88-92 F-body(supposed to be the stronger unit).
However, I'd like to avoid the hydraulic clutch setup, and use the '83 Z28 setup(no reservoir or fluid to mess with)). Is this possible, or is this a no-go? Also, will I be able to use the donor car's driveshaft, or is there a difference in u-joints? Thanks in advance!
