I looked up the article on the site and it didnt help. I have an 84 firebird v6 2.8 700/r4 auto with od. I looked where it said and there is a fixed plate, no 'button' or 'metal tang' or whatever. Anyone help or have pictures? If I post pics of my cable can you draw where I need to adjust? Heh okay that sounds stupid. But I still need help. I'm new to hands-on stuff, I know more about cars than I have tried to do? If that sounds right to anyone? Like I know how to do a bunch of **** by word of mouth but never tried it.

 

Look at the plastic piece that the cable travels thru on the metal mounting bracket.

Prolly on the backside of it there will be a half moon shaped button.

Push it in and push the plastic cable piece(square and attaches to cable) back into the housing.

then slowly rotate the TB to WOT and listen for the TV cable to ratchet into place.
