transmision question

i have an 84camaro with a 305 and 700r4 trans. when i punch the gas it will hesitate slightly and take off like a bat outta hell. but sumtimes when im on it and it wants to take off while im goin on it already it seems it dont wanna change gears and i gotta let off and hit it again and it takes off. make sense?

yea i have an 83 firebird with the same engine and trans...i have the same problem. i changed out the accelerator pump on the carb and it helped a little but i still have to let off then floor it to make it take off when i'm already moving.....it just does that for some reason- i think thats just how it is (i put in a rebuilt 700r4 in 2 years ago when the original trans let go so its a relatively new trans). i'm going to drain the trans fluid and replace it with B+M trick shift ATF and see if it actually makes any difference.

yeah its kinda pain in the *** if u ask me... wonder how to fix it?

tech support at summit said its the knockdown and it needs adjusted and the line pressure. need tranny shop to do that??

i'm not really all that sure but i'd think a regular repair shop should be able to do that- i'd go around to any shops near you and ask around.
