tv cable bolt size for anyone ever needing to know
I just had a new motor built and a 700r4 rebuilt for my 84 Z28 and there's no info for what size the tv cable bolt to the tranny is. It's taken me 3 days of calling shop's and car dealerships to find out. The bolt size is M6x20 and a 10MM hex head.

Thanks man. Just the info I needed. Sent my trans out for a rebuild and they Forgot to put bolt back. Didn’t know size. I appreciate your leg work 13 years before. LOL.

Actually it's M6x1.0 with a 10mm hex.
20.... as in 1/4x20 is a measurement of "Threads Per Inch" or TPI, not a metric thread which is measured in thread pitch rather than thread count. So 1.0 is 1mm between threads. 1.25 and 1.5 are common on larger fasteners and .8 is common on smaller.
20 TPI is nowhere near 1.0. In fact if you converted to metric the thread count of a 1.0 pitch is 25.4
Perhaps OP meant 20mm length. Which is M6x1.0x20
