Theres no such thing as a 3.53 ratio. It costed me over $400 dollars to get my 3.73's installed in my 98 Z28. which has the same 10 bolt axle as many 3rd gens.

The average install cost at a dealership is only around $200 once you have all the parts(gears, posi, install kit)

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Alot of people (dealers especially) won't install parts that you bring them. After all, they have to warranty the job, and they have no control over the quality or fit of the parts, if they didn't specify and procure them. So make sure that your installer will do that BEFORE you order anything.

But most of the time, expect to pay close to $200 for a set of gears, $100 for the "kit", about $50 in incidentals, and about 3 hours of labor at whatever the shop rate is where you get it done. Most people have about $600 or so in a gear swap by the time it's all done.
