making a 700r none posi, posi
i tried searching it but i know i had to be searching something worng casue i was getting no search results
i got an stock 89 rs's 700r i want to make it a posi , its going to be running a stock 305 tbi (l98 i belive? l03 forgot my self) with just headers and muffler redone
dont plan on doing anything major with horse power but what do i need to do this there disk breaks and not sure on current gears , some one said just changwe the gears to a 3.23 or 3.72 but another guys there is more to it then just that
, let me know i am gnna keep searching some better key words

The 700r4 has nothing to do with it being posi or not. When you change the rearend gears you will need to get a posi carrier. If you are going to get 3.73s then make shure you get a 3 series posi carrier

ha maybe thats why i cant find nothing on searching , my budy got my confused with saying 700r all the time , i never even poped in my head about that

The 700R4 is the transmission, not the rear end.
To do a posi conversion, you need to buy a posi differential, then you can put whatever gears on it you want, be they your stock gears or any other gear ratio. This is not a do it yourself project for teh "average" at home mechanic. It requires some special tools to set up peoperly.
