One for the 700R4 gurus
I have a performance 700R4 (PATC Raptor) that is "stubbing its toe" on a 3-2 down shift (2 engaging before 3 releases) only when in manual third, not when in drive. We've replaced the billit servo with a corvette servo which helped but didn't completely eliminate the problem. Not realy a huge problem, but it's not good for the ego when you pull up to a stop light and CLUNK! Any ideas?
Try grinding 4 notches in the steel cover on the 2nd gear apply servo. Get a copy of the Trans-Go Junior instructions on this. This should eliminate or mostly eliminate the 3-2 downshift problem. Stick with the Corvette servo. There are a couple of feed holes in the separator plate that can help here if this does not solve your problem.

Thanks Pro Built. I've searched here and out in cyber space for the Junior instructions. No luck. Can you supply a link?
