axle shaft out of 9 bolt

How do you pull the axle shafts out of a 9 bolt rear? Its not in the book i have? The book only tells how to take it out on a 10 bolt.
Thanks

I used a slide hammer that bolted on lug studs and axle should pull out.
One did one was stuck on mine I had to heat axle flange and finally it came out too,,,good luck

As mentioned above, you unbolt the bearing retainer from the backing plate. They're held in like a Ford 8 and 9" axle. The 9 bolt doesn't use C-clips so you don't have to remove the diff cover.
