want posi, not limited slip.. how?

ok so I've got a 9-bolt BW with factory limited slip... had the rear end rebuilt and re-shimmed with 3:45 gears and a girdle last summer. turning corners only the inside tire will spin... I'd like true posi.

so whats the best way to make it true posi, eaton posi unit.. or is that also a limited slip? how about a mini-spool?

your inputs are appreciated, thanks!

posi and limited slip are the same thing, just terms tagged by different companys.

You dont want a spool if you plan on turning.

Yup, Psitraction is just the GM brand name for a limited slip differntial. Ford used Trac-Loc, and Mopar used Sure Grip. You only spin one tire because yours is worn out. Reshimming is only a bandaid fix for an old posi. There are many options for replacment. Trust me, you DON'T want a spool. You could go with an Eaton posi, or if you want something more solid and don't mind some noise in teh corners, a Detroit Locker

Unfortunately his replacement options are basically non-existant since he has a nine bolt rearend. Every manufacturer out there offers a replacement posi unit for the ten bolts, but I don't know of any company that has them available for the Borg-Warner nine bolt rears.
