Greetings all from England. Having trouble with the 700R4 out of my '89 Formula 350. It's almost impossible to get hold of replacement trannies here so the only option is a rebuild. So, having rebuilt the box to replace a broken sun gear shell the car ran for a couple of days before completely cooking the third gear clutches. The problem appeared to be a damaged seal which was replaced along with the clutch pack. The box was rebuilt and the car tested. Within a mile of driving third went again. It's totally burned out again. All other clutches are okay. Anyone have any ideas.? Is there a known fault? Thank you.
