computer controlled converter
I recently installed a Holley 600 in place of the original Quadrajet which was computer controlled. I'm wondering if the torque converter was also controlled by the computer. There's a big pause in between shifts and when it does hit the next gear it just feels sluggish. Will getting a new torque converter solve this problem? If not any suggestions will be appreciated.

The lockup function of the torque converter is controlled by the computer.
When you replaced the carb did you set the TV cable adjustment again? There is a tech article on here how to do it.
