9" CONVERSION QUESTION

I need some tech help please. Im installing a moser 9in in my car and want to know if the stock length drive shaft will work temp, until I can get me one made. I know I will have to do a U-JOINT conversion but was just currious if the length would be to long or short. I just need to install it and be able to drive it a little while. Thanks for your help.

Thanks Tony, so all you did was change the U-JOINT and the length was o.k., I didnt know if the differential was a little more forward where the pinion shaft attaches, making the drive shaft too long. Can you please confirm this.So you did just change the joint and reinstall. I just want to make sure im understaning you correctly. I think I am going to use a SPICER U-JOINT, which brand did you use? Thanks for your time.

I just switched the U-Joint and all bolts up fine, all though I did have to use a different conversion u-joint then the one that spohn gave me cause I have the 1LE aluminum driveshaft that comes in most if not all GTA's.

Thanks ALL, for the information. Yea I know its got to be a conversion joint, mine is just a stock steel shaft for now. Later im going to get a stronger one made, I just need it to work a little while for me. I will more than likely get the one with the grease fitting because it will mostly be street duty.....Thanks a bunch.
