Transmission mount replacement instructions

Hello, my late brother use to change my transmission mount on my 2 Formulas over the years when ever one would pop. I bought one from the store and wondering how easy is it to change? Any help appreciated so I can learn, just had over 1400.00 in suspension work and module and etc work done, trying to save as the holiday's are coming, Thanks! Andy

Im pretty sure all you need to do is unbolt the old mount. jack up the tranny a bit and slide the new one in. I dont believe you have to remove the torque arm or crossmember. I havent done it in a while . You could also go to an auto parts store and get a repair manual for about $16.

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Lift rear of transmission slightly with floor jack or equivalent. Rotate hardware counterclockwise until free. Remove pieces of broken mount. Insert whole mount. Rotate hardware clockwise until tight. Remove jack.

Yeah, You don't even need to jack up the trans. The thinkg only weights like 100 pounds and the engine supports the most of that. I just shredded a rear trans mount on my 'maro. Replacment is $7 and there are three bolts, thats it. However, if this is a recurring problem, get a polyurethane mount. Or solid steel. These things should only wear out due to dry rot and age, if you've killed 2 in the past coupld years, I wouldn't do another one of that material.
