Hey guys,
I just want anyone who can help out to lend their own ideas. I press down on the gas pedal and it takes about 2-3 seconds before i even move. then the car it self kinda drags untill it hits about 10-15MPH then takes off and drives fine past that point on. Does anyone have any ideas or know what the problem is? And what kind of maitenence I can do to help or cure this problem. I have a 1986 Trans AM, V8 FI 5.0 TPI Automatic. Any ideas or tips would be appreciated.
Thanks

I'm not 100% sure it's that, I'm just saying that by the description you gave it kinda sounds like it's slipping in first and once it gets into second then it drives like normal.

ok thanks, I also put a post in TPI asking about the hose lines from the plenum connecting to the cruise control. I bought the car and after changing the battery i noticed the hose spilts into two hoses from the plenum one end goes to the cruise control vacuum box or whatever you call it and the other hose ran along side the inner driverside fender and battery and was connected to nothing. I cant find anything on where it is supposed to go. Any ideas on where i can go for resources?
