can a kickdown cable be changed on a 700r4 while the tranny is still in the car?if so how do I do it?

 

Yes just did one. jack her up and on the right side of tranny get your 8mm or 10mm open end wrench and take the bolt out that holds it in. you lift up and feel the rod with a hole sticking out and get your new cable with the end open and hook it to the rod from the tranny and set the plug back down and bolt it up and run your cable to the carb or whatever you have and all done. takes about 20 minutes to complete.
