You probably didn't hook up the clutch switch(if it was a T5 car), or you left a circuit in the neutral safety switch open from the original shifter(if it was an automatic). If it was an Automatic, you need to connect the two large wires in the harness that went to the shifter. I believe they are yellow and purple, but I am not sure.

thanks for the help but it was a blown fuse and a wire on the starter was wrong. But i bypassed the safety switch and now my car really hauls A$$. But I have the stock 3.23 gears in the rear should I change to 3.73's or 4.10's ? I still want some topend.

I put 4.10s in mine. It isn't bad at all. Right now my rearend is busted, so I am running a 3.23 rear and I hate it. My car ran about 2000RPMs at 80mph with the 4.10s.
Yeah, running a T56 trans, you'd definitely be happier with more gear, like 3.73's or 4.10's. With the insane overdrive ratio you have in sixth gear, it's probably completely useless with 3.23's!

If your sticking with TPI and don't plan to rev past 5k then you might want the 3.73. At the track I found that my 4.10 gears were to much and I had to shift into 5th or just rev the car to 6k to cross the line.
