4th gen 5 speed
If it's a 5 speed out of a 4th gen, I would assume it's a V6 trans. - It can be made to work, but the bolt pattern and the input shaft are different.
Being a 4th gen unit, it is atleast a WC (world class) which would mean it's power capabilities are equal to the V8 units, but the ratios are a bit different.

How are the bolt patterns different? When I bought my Formula it had a 4th gen V6 trans in it and it fit fine.
- Of the 3 95+ WC v6 t5's I used and abused, they all had the bolts very close to the sides of the case. The standard 3rd gen trans has the bolts out on the common 4-bolt "star" type configuration. - Maybe the 3rd gen 6's had the closer holes also, I've never f'ed with a v6 car.

I have never messed with 3rd gen V6 T5s either. The trans I pulled out of my 90(4th gen V6) and the one I pulled from my 91(original behind a 305 TPI) were identical. Maybe since my 90 had a 95 model T5 it had the older V8 style case.
