Transmission rebuild

Hello

I'm going to rebuild my transmission. Few weeks ago I've lost
my third and forth gear :/
My transmission is TH700R4 sitting inside 89' GTA.
What's your opinion on: "High Performance Rebuild Kit TH700"
like this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/High-...8891QQtcZphoto ??
What else is worth to replace ? In future I want to rise power of my engine to about 350HP. It will be street car, and I'm going to drive it hard (burning rubber is what I love )
I'm not quite sure is it all what I need. Transmission oil looks fine, there where no other problems - I just lost my gears
Thanks for your help in advance

The polish connection :-P lol

If u dont have alot of experience on transmissions, I seriously recommend going with something along the lines of what Pro-Built offers.

Do some searching and check out his posts and online website.

He knows his stuff and is a good guy to deal with and super infor, ative on the phone as well.

later

I second the pro-built!!!!! I have a pro-built 700r4 and It was worth every penny!!!! If you don't have the money to have Dana build it you can still talk to him and he will tell you everything you need.He really knows his stuff.Better then your "Local tranny shop".He uses alot of trans-go parts I know.Either way give him a call or go to www.700r4l60e.com and look at some of his stuff for 700r4s to give you an idea.

Go to https://www.700r4l60e.com/store/cust...&cat=19&page=1 this will give you what you want. I have the ATSG books for these to help out if you need them. Are you planning on rebuilding the unit yourself? or having someone do it for you? Either way I can help you out on this. Let me know?

Thanks, than I have no choice and go with him. By the way I don't have any tranny shops here which will have parts for TH700R.

I have one video book how to repair TH700R4 and some regular books about that. I will be rebuilding it with my friend who have done this once before (with partial success). I will consider your proposition and let you know ASAP. Thanks a lot .

Hi there!
I just completed my first 700r4 rebuild. It was a total success and also the most difficult thing, mechanically I've ever done, and that is saying alot as I'm an industrial mechanic by trade! It took my father and I 13 and a half hours to swap trannies!
Anyway, I just wanted to tell you about the place I bought my rebuilkd kit from. It is Monster Transmissions.com. http://www.monstertransmissions.com/ Their kits are quite complete, and they include a few extras like a corvette servo and .500 boost valve. Their deluxe kits don't have bushing kits but you might be able to get away without changing these as I did. I you feel you have to replace them they have those too. I also highly reccomend the ATSG manual as it was very helpful for me with step by step instructions. Also some of this stuff for re-assembly was a great help! http://www.napaonline.com//MasterPag...le+Goo%22+Lube
Good Luck and Merry Christmas!
