Engine: bolt on LS1
Transmission: 4L60E
Axle/Gears: 3.23
What gears and carrier?
I am planning on a gears swap in the near future and I cant decide if I want 3.73s or 4.10s. It is a lo3 auto with just a catback and it also has 28'' tires. Also how would I be aboe to tell if I have a 2 or 3 series carrier?

Car: 1987 Black IROC-Z (SOLD)
Standard rear with the LO3 and automatic was a 2-series open rear with a 2:73 ratio.

My car has an original factory posi unit in it, it was the G80 opition. Would that make a difference in the carrier?

NO....It was a option on both 2 & 3 series carrier.

ok thanks, so would the 4.10s or 3.73s be better? Would the fact that I have 28'' tall tires make a difference?
