pinion depth for 9-bolt?

Anyone know what the pinion depth for a 9-bolt is? or where to find it?

*edit* its a 3.70 gear ratio set, US Gear. numbers not etched on either gear.

use the shim under the bearing that is still on your old pinion.. its the right one 99.5% of the time.. I have only changed 3-5 out of the 3-400 rears I have ever put gears in..

well, I'm completely changing the internal parts. different carrier, obviously different gears. if you mean the shim that was in the rear originally, it got destroyed removing the pinion head bearing race. but, the new pinion has the shim on it beneath the bearing. I'll just leave it on then.
