700R4 ???????
Need a little info I have a 80 Elkie with a 229 V6 I also have a 700R4 from a firebird that also had a V6. I would like to place the 700R4 in my elkie. My questions is the 700R4 bell housing has a straght top and my elkies 350 has a peak top will the 700R4 mount to my 229 V6 hope I'm asking correctly

Your question didnt quite make sense to me.... 
But, when your talking of a 'flat top' and 'peak top' tranny, your talking of a 60* and 90* style bellhousing.
And no, the 60* and 90* are not a direct interchange. But i believe adapters are available...
