T-56 Template

Hi,

Does anyone have a template of the firewall cut-outs for the pedals and master/slave for a T-56 conversion from a Auto. I am sorry if this issue has been addressed before. If it hasn't and someone has a template can we make a sticky for it. I may only be speaking for myself but before I cut my firewall I want to make sure every new hole is correct.

its pretty much the same as the t5. theres a hole in the carpet, where you need to cut. it was easy

Another template you can use is the pedals themselves, especially the 4th gen style. Once you bolt them in the car, there's two support brackets, or rods, and a metal support for the master cylinder that will line up right where you need to cut the holes. The two support rods attach to the master cylinder u-bolt, so that will give you the correct position for the bolt holes, and the master cylinder support plate gives you the correct position for the big master cylinder hole. In fact, this is more accurate than the cutouts in the firewall pad because if the pad has shifted or moved around some, the punchouts in it won't be in the exact position for the holes. Car Craft magazine had an article on doing this a while back, and this is the method they used as well.
