700R4 with B&M shift kit... need help!
I have an 86 TA that I havnt driven in over a year and a half because I just cant figure out what I did wrong
. What happens is it shifts sooo late at 4500 rpm... and feels like it barely goes into overdrive. I took it apart a million times, went over the directions to see if I did anything wrong, cleaned everything and it still doesnt work. I also installed the kickdown plunger when i installed the shift kit and was thinking that maybe thats why it doesnt shift right... so before I take it apart again could somebody with any experience help me out!!

It would be almost impossible for someone on the forum to guess what you did wrong. I would suggest buying a new seperator plate and remove the shift kit.

If you have the TV cable ajusted wrong it will shift funny. I have the B&M thing and I even got a new trans and couldn't seem to get it right. after I put a new TV cable on it was much better.
