bad vibration from tranny

Hey all,
I just had my transmission 700R4 rebuilt again, and once I picked it up the car vibrates bad at different RPM's. When the vibration is happening I put the transmission in neutral, the vibration goes away. The torque converter is a custom made converter and the old tranny had it installed and the tranny didnt vibrate. Anyways the tranny dude is trying to tell me that is most likely the converter, but I am telling him its not because of the past tranny. What could cause this vibration in the tranny, I have no education on how / what parts are in the transmission. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Brad

Sounds like the guy who rebuilt it screwed up. If it was the torque converter it would still vibrate in neutral.

thats what I am thinking, I dont have vibration at neutral or in parked at idle.
I just hate taking back to the shop and arguing about this especially when I really dont know anything about transmissions. I am thinking it could be some bearing or something.
