Clutch Slave Failure
Clutch Slave Failure
Folks,
88 GTA. Replaced clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bearing with Zoom. Resurfaced flywheeel.
I keep blowing out clutch slave cylinders; I get 10-20 good disengages, then it pops. I've been through Bendix, Delco, Raybestos... slave/ master bores match.
Makes me believe the clutch fork is binding, but I don't know what on- plus it did disengage the clutch repeatedly, so then I believe the fork does move freely. Clutch grabs same as before the install, no noticeable difference.
I didn't install something properly. Any ideas? I don't want to pull it all apart unless I am definitely going to find something...
