Manual Transmission options
Ive been thinking about tearing back into my camaro and redoing the drivetrain. I was just wondering what other transmission options are out there besides the t5 and t56. I would like a manual but ive also been looking at probuilt 700r4's as another alternative to my current th350. My only requirement is that it has an overdrive gear and has matching splines/bellhousing. Lemme know if theres anything out there i should look for. Thanks guys

Your trans's mentioned are good ones
Also look into a TKO 5 speed, and if you have a computer run engine
the 4L60E and the 4L80E are awesome as well

The Tremec TKO's are good choice. They have an overdriven 5th gear, and they offer ones with a 26 spline input shaft, so they'll work with a stock T5 bellhousing and clutch setup. They also use a mechanical speedo, so there's no need for an expensive converter box like you have to do with the T56. Plus they're leagues stronger than the factory T5 trans. Thread
