quick plea for help

i had wierd tuck tuck tuck sound pretty loud coming from under my car . Transmission would not engage into any gear. When i do put it into drive the car just revs and the tuck sound gets louder. I removed the inspection cover for the tranny and rotated the torque converter- the bolts holding it to the flexplate are all intact, and both turn together.

I started my car and went down there, and it sounds like its coming from inside the torque converter. Is this possible?

shifter linkage is on the pan - all the bolts are in, and yes there is oil in the pan. I can hear the sound coming from inside torque converter...is that possible??? are there parts that break inside??
