Engine: 383 stroker
Transmission: 5 speed
Axle/Gears: 9 bolt rear 3:70
speedo gear?
i am putting a set of 3:70's in my 85 t/a with a 5 speed trans and i need to know where i can get a different speedo gear and what exactly am i looking for? for my rear it is a nine bolt with 3:27's in it now and will be 3:70's any info would be great thanx

i take it that is what i need to look for then? thanx. any idea where i can get those or is that somethin i can get from a dealer is it hard to install? do i need to replace both gears or just the one in tranny or just the one on the cable. soory for all the questions but i dont know much about tranny's thanx

I went down to my local Chevy dealership, and they quoted me 12 on the drive, 8 on the driven for a replacement set (stupid me, threw them out with the old tranny and now it's a melted down slab of scrap)
