Ok guys, my first gear is slipping its ***** off when in OD, i must put it in 1st to get the car rolling and then shift it into 2nd. I will be rebuilding it myself as i have already built a couple 700's myself with my boss watching my every move like a hawk. Anyways they worked fine

I already have a TCI Full Reverse Manual valvebody WITHOUT Engine Braking. I am wondering if i should use it or not. I have read that the shifts will be very severe and will kill the tranny over time, but then again i have also read that the shifts are not THAT hard and it should be fine.

This would save me money because i would not need a TransGo Shiftkit.

Also from my understanding the Governor is not used in a full manual valvebody because it does what you command it to do. Right now my Tranny will upshift at like 4500rpm, its really annoying especially with this HSR begging for more revs. (Yes i have my TV cable adjusted properly, its not rocket science)

So, are the shifts SUPER hard or are they just firm? Can they be softened up by using softer acumulator springs?

I dont mind shifting manually, infact i would prefer a Manual Tranny for Daily Driving but a T5 would never stand up to my plans and a T54 is just too expensive.

I will be ordering parts tommarow, so please reply quick!

Thanks.

Ok, after reviewing the TCI directions it says to leave out the accumulator springs. This would cause a pretty hard shift, which is what you want when racing. This is also exactly how the B&M kits use the spacers as a cheap replacement to proper spring selection like TransGo does.

I am gonna try White or maybe Yellow accumulator springs and see how it goes, i feel this will probably make the shifts a little less severe.

Thanks for the help guys!
