WHAT is the name of this part?!
hey all i have an 83 z28 with a 700r4 tranny
i need to know the name of the part that the lower speedometer cable connects to on the transmission itself..
its black and round, made of plastic and the speedo cable screws into it on the transmission..
i broke mine(whoops)
please help i need a replacement but have no idea what you call it

Speedometer gear housing, or speedometer driven gear sleeve. They're still available from the dealer.
