I bought a built 4l60e with 3200 convertor for a failed lt1 project about a year ago, i just picked up a 85 305 tpi car and was thinkin about droppin the trans in. Two questions actually, can i use the stock convertor if it has the 30 spline and whats the best controller to use

Im just tired of looking at the $1500 deal laying on the garage floor
(3299 in reciepts, buddies 95 camaro got rearended two weeks after he got the trans built)

 

A 30 spline 700r4 converter is the same. A 700r4 is also known as a 4l60, the "E" just means electronic controlled.

B&M and TCI both offer stand-alone controllers, but expect $1000+ to get one.
