will i be able to swap the carrier and gears form an 84 anniversary ta into my stock 89 camaro rear?

 

well you have to swap axle shafts too since 89 are 28 spline and 84 are 26

but yes you can do it, as long as both are the same axle model,

7.5"

or 9 bolt B/G

or dana 44

but you better darn well know how to set up bearing preloads and have the special tools to check backlash and preload and such or it will be a disaster

youre alot better off/safer to swap entire axle assembly
