My car has factory 2.73 gear

I was looking through all my document's my car came with and the PHS stuff and found my out my car has the sorry, weak and slow 2.73 gear. No wonder why it is so dam slow and has no passing power on the highway. My 350 had 3.42 in her, she would take off and passing was powerful compared to what I have now. Anybody else out here has the same, any info. Thanks! Andy

lol its ok it happens to me too, and to the best of us all now and then, we arent perfect

2.73 is what i have and about a million other 80s RWD car and truck owners too, vey common gas mileage ratio, and does no good for any performance at all

i am currently hunting up a 3.42 or 3.73 rear to put under my 82 so i can lose this crap of a ratio 2.73

good luck

Rear gear ratios will not make you faster unless you have the HORSES up front. A low horsepower car will be just as slow no matter what gears you have.
