Does a V6 700R4 transmission have the same bellhousing as a V8 700R4?

i dont'
see i have a 89 RS that has a 2.8 V6 and i have a 92 RS with 5.0 V8.
the tranny in the 92 isnt shifting right and the tranny in the 89 has maby 3000 miles on a rebuild and im gonna be tubbing the 89 and putting a built engine and running a th400 tranny. i just didnt want the tranny from the 89 sitting around if i could use it.

oh, yeah, 2.8L and 5.0L are totally diffent angle and pattern
