Is the 5 spd tranny that came in the v6 a BWT5 also? wanting to do a v8 swap into a v6 5 spd car
yes. bell housing,input splines, and gear ratios are different though.

Yes its possible to use a V6 trans in a V8 car, but its highly NOT recommended. Do a search and you'll learn why.
