clunking in posi?

hi guys i notice when i turn a corner at slow speeds or back up and turn i get a clunking in the rear, for the last few days i thought for sure it was in the brakes but i cant find any thing wrong there and it dont do it in straight lines, so has any one every heard of a posi unit making clunking sounds? also when i rebuild it what are the intructions on stacking the steels and clutches and torque specs of the carrier halves and so forth.

Re: clunking in posi?

Before getting all worked up about "rebuilding" it, which can't be done because the parts don't exist, try a bottle of GM limited slip additive.

Re: clunking in posi?

ok ill try that, but i do have the parts from a 2 series posi that i could always pick and match the best clutches and steals from both posi units to "rebuild" it.
