Car: 1987 pontiac trans-am
Engine: 350 tpi
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3;73 with eaton lsd
how much can a stock rear take?
i have an 87 t/a with a 350 tpi and on saturday i ran a 11.9 @114 with 150 shot of n02. i used the gas off the line and it went like stink!! i was just wondering how much a stock rear can take? it has an eaton lsd and 3;73 richmond gears.

You never know until it breaks.
Then once it breaks, you know it can't take quite that much.

I had a beefed up 10 bolt down into the low 11's.
Factory stock 305 cars have also broken them on the street.
