assembling a rear end
where cna i find a nbook to acurately tell me how to assemble a rear end ? i need a few tools but can get them off the tool truck and alldata sucks

If you don't have the proper tools, and there are a few special ones required, I would reccomend taking it to an experienced shop - at least to setup the gears properly. If you don't set the backlash properly, then you'll chew up a new set of gears in no time, and you'll hear them whining like crazy too.
The rest of it is actually pretty straight forward... just the reversal of disassembly. Just make sure you install new seals on the tubes and pinion, replace the bearings if required, and just pay attention to what you are doing during reassembly, and you'll be ok.
