richmond 5 speed
does anyone here use a richmond 5 speed in their car. if so does anyone know how it fits, whether it will fit a stock cross member and about the driveshaft length and so on? i would assume i need an aftermarket bellhousing, like lakewoods which is drilled for multiple transmissions. ive been playing with the idea of a 5 speed conversion for a while now, but didnt want to do a t56 and a t5 isnt strong enough, it probably wont be the case, but im kinda hoping it may fit a stock cross member because i just bough a UMI tunnel mount torque arm and it would suck if i couldn't use it.
soooo, can anyone here help me out?
thanks

Re: richmond 5 speed
Why not a T56? You can get a brand new one for $2,500. A 5 speed richmond is $2,000 and the 6 speed is $3000. Both the richmond and T56 are rated for 450ft/lbs. You can get a t56 from D & D performance that will handle 650ft/lbs I believe for $3,200. I can't comment on the ease of installation for the Richmond but I just installed the T56 and it wasn't bad at all.
