Posi rear end?
Hey all, stupid question, but I have an 87 Formula and wanted to know if this car has a posi rear. Is there any way to tell by the vin or door jamb or something? I would just do a peel em but I don't think my neighbors would like that to much. Thanks, MAC

Re: Posi rear end?
Look at the pumpkin for a metal tag. If it's there it'll say it's a posi or not. So if it's grimy, bent, and old, then maybe you have the stock rear, and that's whats in there. If you have any inclination the rear end has been tinkered with in the last 20 years of that cars life, then you have no idea what's back there - unless you remove the cover, drain and refill the fluid (probably overdue anyway right?) and have a peek.

Lift back end up on a jack , spin one wheel if other side spins in the same direction it is posi.If it spins in opposite direction it is single tire fire !
